Hey everyone. So I got a 2000 civic 5 speed. Some days when I drive my car drives fine and then other days it'll act up. I'll notice that when i step on the gas a little while im not moving, itll idle roughly. It doesnt idle rough while im just sitting there motionless, only when im stepping on the gas. I habe to over rev it so it doesnt stall out. As im driving and i let go of the gas it feels like the car is engine braking hard and when I go to step on the gas it kicks forward hard. Its hard to explain. I've cleaned the IAC and theres a new Intake filter. I've read it could be the cat converter and/ or spark plugs but I wanted to see if there opinions before I go completely bonkers on spending money. Thanks all.

 

Update: so it happens mainly when its hot outside like today. Any solutions?
