Double-Din Parameter Monitoring
I could be over-complicating this, but I'm curious to know if anyone has used a cheap double-din receiver for tuning only?
I have a nice Pioneer DEH-80prs being used in my CRX and it does everything I could ask of it and I won't replace it. My build is audio oriented with a dash of speed
I was thinking about buying a cheap (~$120) 7" Double-Din with bluetooth and wiring it up essentially as just power and screen (no speakers etc) Then I would be able to pair it to an s300 and have live parameter monitoring without having to keep my laptop in the car nor a tablet. Of course for actual tuning I'd use a laptop but this is just for monitoring purposes.
I like this idea because I can get a retractable in-dash style and it wouldn't make me any more susceptible to theft.
What are your guys' thoughts on this? It's very straightforward and the hardest part would be fitting both the single-din and double-din receiver in the dash.

I dont think that would work. Im pretty sure you need an operating system, and the Hondata program to datalog? Not just a monitor. But I could be wrong!
