gatta jdm s1 cable tranny.. it is started to slip 3rd and 4th, and now 2nd is now slipping. do you guys think the tranny is fucked, and that it needs rebuilt kit job to be done,or can it just be the clutch? any ideas ef fellows?

 

Manual transmissions dont slip. Get a new clutch.

 

^^^ haha! Correct moondoh... Those lower gears are loading too much on your worn out clutch causing it too slip. Try going up a hill and if you are going no where but engine is revving high...CLUTCH!

yeah it was the clutch got a new flywheel too with it.. do you guys know if this is a good clutch kit and flywheel to get?

My buddy and I both run the xtr stg 3 clutch in our b20. He has over 15k miles on it with numerous track runs on it. So far so good. Mine has only 750~ miles on it but I like it so far. Pretty soft pedal so driving in traffic is easy on the leg lol

 

I just ordered it.. this guy says its
good so I hope im happy with it.

 

I know people that run XTR, they like it fine and it works great.
