Cam journal sleeve b16a
I know they exist for other brand as a friend used them on his DSM, my question is do they exist for b16 head, please dont post saying it will be cheaper to get a bare head as I am aware of that but Id like to know all possible options. I picked up a full b16a this week and Im assuming who ever try to rebuild it over torque 2 caps, the scoring is real bad on two journals and the one cam. I will be using the head from my b17a at this point but it would be nice to save this one for the next motor.

Something like this will have to be custom made and very few people can offer this type of service. Realistically, if the damage is really bad its just easier to locate another head. Normally overtorquing the bolts only cause them to break, not pinch or distort the cam journal bore. Take a good look again to make sure there is no issues with oil feed. Post a clear picture or two as well.
Here is some picture, sorry for the quality but cell pic is better then nothing I guess Look I also had a surprise when I removed the water pump hehe guess it explain why some plastigauge was still on the #1 main.
Yeah that looks pretty oil starved. Definitely has a story behind it. The cam lobes have some suspicious looking marks as well.
Water pump has some deposits and corrosion build up. Looks like it sat for a while low in antifreeze. Thats not plastiguage

Plastigauge was on #1 Main, yeah but at least all the bottom end is clean Ill only need to change one pair of rod bearing, one pair of main, rings and a good hot tank. btw I wouldnt be surprise it was grass in there actually, lets just say it was not well stored.
