Burn chip with hondata s300??
Hey guys I've searched and found lil info. I'm bout to trade my s200 for the s300v3, I wanted to know once I get it installed into my ecu, can I burn chips for a different motor using the s300?
If I can is all I need is the burn2 programmer and rom editor4?
Thanks guy

The s300 is a daugterboard that fits inside your ECU. It doesn't use a socket so no, you can't burn chips.

Yea I know s300 replaces the chip, but I wanted to tune my brothers car, I wanted to tune his setup with the s300 plugged in his car then save the map file and use a programmer to burn the chip for his and install my s300 back into my setup.
Can this b done?
Can this b done?
Lol. Ok that's all I wanted to know, I should b sending out the s200 next week, dude I can't wait to see what this thing can do!!! Im glad they did the Bluetooth with hondata app cause my labtop power button screwed up so can't wait to see how my iPhone 5s works.
Also how easy is it to tune with?? Do I just give them my setup and they do a basemap on the ecu they send back?
I've tried to watch videos on how to tune cause I want to learn more but couldn't find much, only found videos where they dyno tune. If anybody can send me a video or info, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I don't think you're going to be tuning through your iphone, just using it to monitor data. Even if you could, it would be painfully tedious on that little screen.
SManager is as easy to use as any other platform, if you're familiar with other engine management you should be able to find your way around in no time.
It sounds to me like you have a lot of reading ahead of you before you do any tuning. Start looking through the Hondata forums NOW, read a few books on calibration in general, and don't touch a thing until you have a grasp on it. The Gravity Imports Crome manual has a good section on tuning that can be applied to any system but is geared toward OBD1 Honda setups with Crome (for obvious reasons). Hondata has basemaps available that you will use as a start point to tune your own setup. The unit itself comes with nothing loaded.
Make small changes at a time, save a new file instead of saving over so you can go back to where you started, take lots of notes, and have fun.
Hint: If you are using Windows7 the Post-It feature and Snipping Tools are powerful tools for what you are about to dive into.

Thanks man. I've been reading like crazy these past week and I want to learn as much info as I can before I go ***** out. Like you said I'll take one step at a time until I get the feel of it. I've also been reading on hondata on how to tune fuel maps on low speed and high speed and to set vtec high, and tune low speed first and tune vtec last, so I got an general idea, just goin to read more till I get the same answer from all the forums. Also hondata adjust their ignition on at high speed instead of low speed, they said the ignition should be good at low speed if you adjust high speed first, is this correct?
