Bumpstop Size!
Well I ordered the progress bumpstop repair kit for my 89 hatch. I'm going to use them with some neuspeed springs, and was wondering how tall are the oem bumpstops. The progress ones are at least 4 inches; they seem a little tall. Should I cut them, because with neuspeeds one is not to cut the bumpstop in order to use them properly.
Depends on the style of the bumpstop. Some are progressive (designed to contact the shock housing well before the shock bottoms out) so that when the shock does completely compress it's not a hard jolt. These often look like a pyramid, increasing in diameter as they get closer to the bottom of the shock.
