Hi all,

I need to take off the VTEC solenoid. I am finding that to get to the bottom bolt, the thermostat housing assembly might need to come off. I am hoping and praying that somebody can tell me a way to get the VTEC solenoid off without taking the thermostat housing off. Please.......I know that if I need to take off the thermostat housing, then I have to deal with the rest of the gaskets and then handling the coolant and stuff....

Is there a way to take off all the bolts without taking off the thermostat housing?

tooling. if you don't have the tools you will be taking the thermostat housing off. be creative with your tools to get it off.

 

SMALL 10MM SWIVEL SOCKET WILL WOULD PERFECT FOR THIS OR A SWIVEL EXTENSION WITH A LONGER EXTENSION AND A RATCHET

 

universal joint might be able to get to it
