Default 1996 Accord- Oil Light

I have a 1996 Honda Accord lx and the oil light keeps coming on when the car is idling at around like 750rpms-1000rpms. When I check the oil it is fine. What could be causing this to occur? Any input or help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the oil pressure switch? Somewhat common symptom is light on or flashing at idle

This, they tend to leak at the plastic and cause the intermittent oil light.

What is a CE6? Ascot/Rafagas were CE 4/5 and had the longitudinal mounted G series 5 cylinders.

Im not normally one for just swappign out parts, but these oil pressure switches are known for leaking and giving false indications. I would swap it out(Because it is probably leaking anyway), its pretty cheap, and see if light comes on again. If it does, then I would test oil pressure with a 0-50Lb gauge(Just install a 1/4" nipple where the oil pressure sender is, and attach some nylon hose, run it up to where you can see it, attach the gauge and secure it to your wipers with a zip tie. Then drive around. If it drops below @4psi at idle, then the light is a true indication. If not, then youre ok.

Ce6 is the chassis code for the 5th gen v6 accord (instead of cd, cb, etc..) ...they usually don't get a whole lot of love because of the lack of aftermarket support, so a lot of cross referencing to find parts, but I love her all the same lol. But yeah I'm guessing oil pressure switch on this one
