so all this talk got me curious where is the egr on a gsr?
and why is there a cast port thats not machined on gsr heads?

from internets i gathered rumors that uk or other euro gsr comes with egr valve.
but i googled the sht out of the internet image gallery and yet to find a single gsr with egr valve picture.

anyone has correct info? just want to know whats up with it

 

Because the casting was still the same from when the GSR's did have an EGR.

Afaik only auto cars came with an egr. They did make an auto gsr in japan, so the casting being there makes sense since the japanese auto gsr probably has an egr valve

 

No B18C GSR engine was equipped with an egr valve. Highly likely it was cast with the provisions during development, upon testing the emissions levels it was deemed unnecessary. So why go through the expense of making new cast molds when they could use what they already had.
