Question: How much should a mechanic charge to replace the Before Catalytic Converter Oxygen Sensor?

I have got a 2000 Honda Accord, four-cylinder V-Tech engine.

A mechanic has told me the Before Catalytic Converter Oxygen Sensor is not working.

They have given me what I consider to be an unusually high price. He says that my car [I live in East Tennessee] was set up by the factory to be sold to meet California's emissions standards.

Auto Parts Warehouse dot com has got after market Before Catalytic Converter Oxygen Sensors starting from $26. Most of the Before Catalytic Converter Oxygen Sensors they offer are below $100.

They have got two sensors made by Bosch that are expensive. One sells for $184. The other Bosch sensor sells for $297.

What would be a reasonable cost to have my Before Catalytic Converter Oxygen Sensor replaced?

Bosch is pure junk. Don't put German parts on a Japan designed car. Get a Denso unit.
