Barn Built, time attack, Spoon themed, possible 56k warning. Let's go.
Some of you may have seen my current prelude build, it's at a stand still at the moment. It's gained a few more problems in its travels and it's going to take me quite a bit longer to finish it than I had originally anticipated. This thread will be much more organized and stay on track.
Part of the problem holding me back was the lack of another vehicle. So.. I decided, since I'm young, and I have no good reason not to **** my whole life up, why not just blow a bunch of money on some cars? I wanted to have a secondary daily in line so I could park the prelude for a good 6 months and not be affected. Kept looking at pretty cheap cars and I just refused to buy something that I wasn't going to like.. I'm picky and my prelude is sooo thrashed (in my eyes), which is why I want to restore it.. I didn't want to buy another car I'm going to hate looking at.. So I held out for a couple more weeks and ended up getting a pretty good deal on a clean title, numbers matching throughout the car, SSBP GSR. It's my first b series, which I know nothing about.. But.. I'm kind of excited to play with something a little out of my element.

First picture of the new car. I actually really like this color.. Usually I'm pretty boring and just like white, black, or red.. But this fake pearl color kinda got to me..

The car came with GSR blades and a spare set of del sol five spokes. At least I think that's what they came off of.

Decided to order a few things.

Yay...

216 screws and about 43278 sq.ft of bubble wrap later... We were getting somewhere. Pardon the clutter, everything's being taken to where the car will get the overhaul over the course of this week.

Sold the GSR blades and fat fives since I had these coming along with the front end. I know I said this was going to be Spoon themed, but these will be the only mugen/spoon crossover on the car. It won't be a complete Spoon theme but.. It's definitely dominate.

My horrible attempt at pretending I can edit pictures.

Put the mr5s on the car.

They need a good polishing, but they're in great shape.

Efren's bay is a huge inspiration to me. And ultimately "similar" to what I would like for the dc2.

I'll finally get to put this to use. I ordered a new filter from RHDJapan and it should be here this week.
I have Spoon res covers but there's no point on posting a picture of those. Ordering the strut bar and radiator hoses, oil and radiator caps, as well as a few tune up parts (head gasket, vc gasket, vtec solenoid gasket, plugs, wires, etc), tomorrow after work when I get a chance to go to the bank.
As far as plans for the car, I'm going to pull the motor and do all the maintenance. Pressure wash the bay after I tuck the headlight harnesses and get rid of the power steering and air conditioning bullshit. Won't be a full tuck, and won't be shaved, but hopefully it'll look nice. Might take it up north and hopefully have the chance to do some amateur auto cross events. Import Faceoff is coming to Woodburn here In about 5 weeks and I'm hoping to have the front end on an painted and the motor back in by then so I can enter the car show, but I work full time so we'll see how it goes.
That's pretty much all I've got for now. Apparently I forgot to take a picture of the engine bay. I'll update later this week when the car makes it out to where I'll be doing the work.

Should be a new part showing up every day this week..
First up is the new Abbey Road Company filter for my intake box.

You can definitely see how haggard the original filter is. And for anybody with a first gen dc2 ARC intake box.. I'll just put this out there since NOBODY else has posted it online.... The "Type E" filter from rhdjapan.com WILL fit these boxes. I searched everywhere to try and get confirmation that it would fit and everyone either wanted to be a ***** and tell me, "find out for yourself", or just say, "I don't want to go measure it for you". Well, **** you guys. They still have some in stock, it's not the "correct" filter, but has the same dimensions.

Thought this was kind of neat.. All the Japanese text on the package. It took about two weeks to get here from Japan, was expecting longer honestly.
Just ordered brand new Spoon Sports radiator hoses, a BNIB Spoon Sports front dc2 strut bar, windshield banner, couple decals, and a rad cap. Forgot to order the oil cap, so I'll wait until I need a few other things from ICB to order that. Can't wait to see what shows up tomorrow, I'm refusing to check any tracking so it's a surprise for me. I dunno, I'm a douche like that. I get more excited for this stuff than I did as a kid on Christmas morning. Hahah.

Itr front lip showed up yesterday, rear valances will be here either today or tomorrow, spoon goodies will be here Friday. Almost have everything I need to finish the car. Front end should be finished this weekend, and then I'll be pulling all the ITR aero and front end parts off to prep for paint.

How much work is it to go measure it and tell me? HaHa.. I mean the dimensions are posted under the products description, but I just wanted to see if that was the exact filter they were using. Six bolts and a tape measure is all it would have taken... But I just pulled the trigger and spent the hundred bucks hoping it would fit, luckily it did.

Well, missed the fedex guy by 5 minutes yesterday and they refused to let me come pick up my package.. Lame.. I've never had to sign for a package from ICB before so I'm kind of irritated, but oh well. Car's getting parked and tear down starts in an hour.
Got the car out to the barn. Gotta move some stuff around before I can get the car into the bay I want to use. Basically everyone else that was willing to let me use their space, wanted an *** load of money for renting the space, which is understandable, my budget just didn't allow for it. All I have to do to use this space is help him haul a load of trash to the dump.
I'll post a few pics to hold you guys over until I get some real progress done.

Who needs a pickup when you've got a snatchback..? Everything but the hood fit in the hatch with ease.
Few other parts I've been holding onto for a while, just waiting for the right time to use them.

By now I'm sure you think I'm a compulsive liar, seeing as how I promised the wheels would be the only mugen product on the car... :/

I also have a harness bar and a set of harnesses, and a few other parts I guess I didn't take pictures of.

Had to sneak in this shot of my prelude just because I love the mf8s so much. I'm still a prelude/accord guy at heart. I knew I would have an integra one day, and this is actually my second, but I've never been a B series fan. Diehard H series fanatic. Eventually this integra will be h2b, I have three complete h22 longblocks I've been playing with for a few years now. But that's waaaay down the road. That's all for now.

Well, my phone died as soon as I got the integra parked in the bay. So that sucked. No pictures of any of the progress today.
However, I bought a new truck.. Hahahah

66,XXX original miles, nothing has been replaced aside from normal maintenance. Original interior, even has the original jack and tire iron. Runs like a champ. Thinking about doing something sort of sleeper-ish. Don't wanna bag it or anything. Clear coat just needs to be sanded down and reshot and it'll look great.

This was the only picture I could get before my phone died. Got it parked and got all the front panels off. Didn't start drilling out the spot welds or anything yet.

I've never liked MR5s on DC integras. They look too small and are for a different era. I'm curious how it's going to turn out. Good luck.

Don't let me fool you, still a ricer at heart. This isn't even half of the stickers/decals I've collected over the years but they're the only ones I would ever consider putting on a car. Don't worry, they won't all find themselves on the integra. The "#tylerisapussy" decal is definitely my favorite one, although it doesn't belong on a Honda. My favorite drifter, Tyler Wolfson, made 5 of these stickers, one of which is on his helmet, I have one, and he gave away the other three. Nothing really that special I guess.. but it was to me, hahah.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I really appreciate it. I dunno, maybe it's the fact that they don't belong, or they're more from the "EF" era, that makes me like them so much. I absolutely love the way they look on the DC. Too each their own I suppose
Like I said I dunno what it is about them that I like so much, but I love them on integras. They look great on the DB as well. Never been a fan of white wheels but the wheels themselves look great on those chassis'.
Well, got the last package I'm expecting for at least another week. Got a few more things to order before the car will be "show ready", in my eyes.
Sorry about the quality of the photos, kind of hard to see some of the stuff.

Spoon Sports rad hoses, windshield banner, few decals, rad cap and a front strut bar. I can't think of anything in the world that feels better than opening up a brand new box from Spoon... Well I can think of one thing.
Anyways, should be hittin it hard tomorrow after I get off work. Goal is to get the front rad and bumper support off the car and start mockup on the front end. That's all for now.

Thanks man. I never thought I would have a jdm front integra, let alone go with a spoon theme. Just never figured I would want to spend the money when I've got other plans for both of my cars already. But I just said.. **** it.. You're only young once, might as well have fun with it. My original goal was just to buy a cheap commuter to daily and work on the prelude.. But I just couldn't handle buying some **** box that made me hate driving hahahah.
Anyways, my dog is extremely sick and started throwing up blood so I had to take her to the vet, didn't get a chance to work on the car at all today, so hopefully tomorrow. Seems like absolutely everything is working against me at this point. I'll be lucky if I get the front end painted before I leave for Hawaii. If I don't get it painted by then, I'll be in bad shape.

Well, got some things done today. Not really, but it's all I had time for so I'm counting it. Hopefully get out tomorrow to start deleting the air conditioning.

This is where all the work will be done, start to finish. That's all I've got today. Have quite a few things showing up next week. Gotta get the paint mixed and order just a couple odds and ends and I'll have everything to finish the car. Wether or not it gets done... That's another story.

Got some things done today. Started on the partial tuck. I'll be retaining ABS for now and I'm not touching the brake lines for the time being so those will all still reside in their stock locations. Got rid of power steering and air conditioning today, as well as the rest of the stock air box components and the windshield sprayer reservoir. If my budget allows I would like to pick up an odyssey battery and relocate the battery to where part of the stock air box sat between the bumper and sidewall of the bay, but I have a few other more important things to worry about for the time being.

Shaved a good 20-30 pounds and freed up a lot of space.

It's already looking way better. Test fit the Abbey Road Company intake box as well, just to see what it would look like. I still have to loop that last line on the power steering rack to complete the PS delete. I'll take care of that tomorrow and then move onto tucking the headlight harnesses and HID ballasts. Bought shrink wrap and some wire for extending the harnesses today so I should have everything I need to clean the bay up and get my partial tuck finished tomorrow.

Did a half assed mockup of the front end on the USDM bumper and rad support. Obviously not everything fit but I just wanted to get a little glimpse of what's to come. I'm not much for different colored bays... But I have to admit.. I kind of like the ssbp in the bay and the Milano red exterior of the front end. I'm still going to paint the front end ssbp though, don't worry.
I guess that's all I have at the moment. Should get the rest of the tuck finished tomorrow.
