Dr. RAB01GSR has one on his car and he'll probably answer your question soon. From what I saw and heard of his, it is a very nice exhaust, with a great sound. It is too expensive for me. That's coming from a guy that doesn't have crap on his car for mods.

No, get something else. The Comptech exhaust has a 2.25 " diameter.

 

looking 4 the quiet stock look!i know the hks sport and the apexi world sport are cheaper but i can't decide.

How much more exhaust diameter do you need in a NA car? Not more than a 2.25 exhaust can give you. Turbo, get something different. NA, 2.25 is fine.

Run the Greddy EVO I have one on my 01 GS-R and love it can't beat the sound, performance, or the aggressive look. However if you are looking for a stock look Greddy definitely looks far from stock.

 

FU pal. FU and your "all mighty GSR" that makes 30 more horsepower and no more torque than mine. I'd love to see you put a 3 inch exhuast on your POS and see you lose HP.

 

I was choosing exhausts, and had those 3 in mind...the apexi world, comptech, and the greddy evo. My friend with a cougar ended up gettin world, friend with prelude got comptech but I ended up getting tanabe racing medallion and I love it.

 

No! Comptech doesn't make an exhaust for a prelude.

Agree, although I'm thinking about putting some internal jet engine parts in the b18c1, so I may need to get the Tornado, more fuel tanks and of course the 5 inch piping for the exhaust.

just selling because when I will be driving on the freeway the rpm will be at 4700-5000 rpm. at that rpm the exhaust will be hella loud.
i found a mugen exhaust for a hella good price

i have a whole bunch of refernces if ya all need em

dang man how high did you jack up your car! it looks like you had the jack stand on the top notch. with my car i can barely get it up on the jackstand let alone on the top notch

 

does anyone know the small size (diameter) of the comptech muffler?

I was thinking of trying to utilizing it in a FI setup since i love the way it looks and sounds...

 

He's got it down to a science! Believe me!

About the diameter of the muffler, it is very small compared to most, including the stock one. It fits very nicely under the car with nothing to scratch on but the tip.

sorry volcom.. im backin jsracing on this one.. i think 2.25 is too small.. but aye if thats how you like it... thats fine... and were not saying to go with a 3 inch exhaust.. more like 2.5 in. Way better...

 

What's the ITR OEM exhaust size? Would that be a better buy? I know its cheaper (...especially if you buy a used one) and 30% better flow than the stock GSR...but is it better?
I'm just wondering what's the better Bang for the Buck! (And don't say "12 guage"<--Hunter Humor)

 

If you can get the Comptech for $200 then it's worth it. Otherwise it's a rip. Comptech=Ultraflo mufflers.

 

sorry you are wrong buddy, comptech makes all of their own mufflers sections...

i think around 5-6 years ago comptech got the mufflers from other people, but its not like that now...
