Default 99 Vtech Oil Leak **Help**

Just bought this 99 Honda Accord 4cyl vetch. This is my very first Accord so hello everyone! I noticed after I brought it home that it's leaking oil (it was not doing this when I looked at it before the purchase). Anyway its dripping off the two items I have circled. It's not real bad and only seems to drip as soon as the car shuts off. It's underneath the motor, towards the middle front maybe. Any ideas what it could be?

Looks like where the tranny and engine mate. Could be a rear main seal or the output shaft seal on the trans. Could even be a leaking seal on the dist shaft or the slave cylinder if it's a manual.

it could also be the vtec solenoid housing to cylinder head seal leaking or even a valve cover gasket. with oil leaks on any engine, you should always start at the top of the engine and work your way down. my dohc f20b had a similar leak that turned out to be a cam plug leaking. like accordturb96 said about the dizzy. they can leak in 2 places. inside the cap, and where the dizzy plugs into the head. how many miles are on the engine?

Sorry guys, I've been busy with another car and haven't had a chance to look into these wonderful suggestions. I think I'm going to degrease everything, drive it down the street, park it, jack it up, and wait and see where it's coming from. Hopefully it doesn't take too much $$ to fix.

I have to install some new bushings next on the front suspension (hopefully this isn't too hard). I'm getting a lot of popping when going over bumps and starting off in 1st.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Have you found the bushings giving issues?

I only ask as some of these - not sure what part of the country you live in - have an issue where the subframe will rot on the pass side about where the ac drain tube is.

It's definitely on the driver's side. I picked up some bushings and a front motor mount this weekend. Going to see if that helps.

As far as the oil leak guys - It's leaking from the rear main seal and the power steering pump. Uggg...
