I've recently purchased parts for a timing belt job on my 2000 Accord EX, 4 cyl. It has 182K on it and it's never been done. I know I'm on borrowed time. Figured I'd be helpful and post a list of the parts I ordered in the event someone out there is wondering. I bought Genuine Honda Parts as well. I'm having my mechanic do it, quoted me at $300 if I bring him the parts. I know some of these parts aren't included in a typical timing belt job, however considering my mileage, why not. This parts list "should" work for 1998-2002, 4 cyl engines. NOTE** I have a ULEV model, and it's a different timing belt part # than the non-ULEV models**

$240 total for the parts, all Genuine honda, on Ebay. I usually buy from Majestic Honda, however it would've been $329 with shipping. Hope this helps someone.

I agree. I'm in NH on the MA border. Honda dealership in MA wanted $745 for the job but they only do timing belt, balance belt and water pump. My guy says he does one or two 4 cylinder Hondas a week. Figure he's got to know what he's doing.

 

u can find people in the pennysaver ads do just the belts for that price sometimes ... but for all the other work thats just a steal
