will accord LBJ fit into prelude knuckle?
i know part numbers are different and accord LBJ bolt is 17mm vs prelude 19mm. im swapping the brakes and knuckle assembly to prelude vtec. instead of reaming the lower control arm for the accord to fit prelude LBJ, i can just swap out the ball joint and call it a day.
Grab some measureing calipers.
Go to the parts store.
Ask for a Prelude LBJ and an Accord LBJ.
Only use a BJ that has a smooth outer case, not the teethed type.
Measure the diameter, and measure the distance(height) of from the lip to the spiral lock groove, of the BJ base. Also measure overall cone height of the BJ stud.
If the heights are different then that would induce bumpsteer and reaming would be the ideal thing to do.
If all the measurements are the same, then you most likely can use the one BJ in place of the other.
