Default Tire size selection help - 165/45/15

Looking for a good performance brand tire that makes 165/45/15. I have Enkei M52's 15x6.5 and I wanted some stretch to lower my car, some people suggested that size, but I can't find any company besides Federal

It's not gonna lower your car much at all, the springs is what you need to change to lower it. And most company's that make high performance tires won't make them in that size because you need to get the most contact on pavement with the tire to reach a higher performance.

That's because that tire size has never corresponded with "performance" in any way.

I find it odd that you'd be requesting a performance tire, with a tire that's in a size that will actually DECREASE your car's performance ability. Why not buy a tire that is within the safe range of tire sizes for the chassis?
