I've got a black 94 gsr that I want to paint 98+ silver. I know nothing about bodywork. Does anyone know about how much this would cost?

I have no clue, but i bet it will heavily depend on how extensive you want to go. For instance, if you want the engine bay etc to match, then the motor will have to be pulled and that will cost much more. I will guess $2500 for a decent job, not doing the engine bay. Silver onthe outside and black inthe engine bay may not be that bad anyway........as for me, well green kinda only goes with green

Yeah, i'm a noob when it comes to paint jobs, too. And I was wondering how much it would be to have my side moldings taken out and have it filled and painted? Anyone have experience with this?

paint can run at least $1000 or so, depending on the actual color and what works needs to be done. That should include doing the door jams, but be aware that usually money spend = quality paint. Not too sure about shaving the sides, but a descent amount of money. They need to weld the holes up, then bondo everything, and smooth it out, and then repaint it which is about half of your door. Oh yeah, factory paint colors (with names like championship white) usually are more expensive than common colors like black, red, white, etc.

well mine was 550 with no body work done at a one day paint place. i would consider it if u just want ur car painted. other than that theres a 5year warranty on chips and cracks. my car used to be teal green thats why.

nice, what color is your car? Did that also pay for any little body work?
