Cruise control does not work at all
I bought this 1992 Accord EX last weekend and the cruise control did not work when I purchased the car. The car has a manual transmission. The light on the cruise control dash switch does not come on when I press the button nor does the cruise control light on the cluster turn on. The system is not functioning at all right now and I am not sure where to being troubleshooting. I checked the no. 4 fuse for the cruise control under the dash and it was good. Where should I go from here?
mine dosent work either. 96 lx. i just pulled the cable out. will pull the rest when i pull ac. could be a vacumn leak i think. or a selinoid. not to sure to be honest. i dont use cruise.
Could be either of the switches, Pop the dash switch out make sure the connector is connected and making a good connection. I think the other one is on the steering wheel. Vacuum leak could cause it as well too. Just some ideas
I have the same car and I had the same issue. Check your alternator belt tension. Loosen up the bolt right under the power steering pump, then tighten the belt tensioner. That fixed it for me. I believe that belt drives the CS.
Could be a number of things. Check the actual switch first. I picked one up fromt h junk yard for 5 bucks. There is a computer under the steering colum that runs the CC. There is also the module behind the Airbag on the steering wheel. Good luck man, im still trying to figure mine out...
