Icon2 Moon hubcaps bad for brakes?

Thinking about running some moon hubcaps aka smoothies. Will this affect brake cooling/performance since its a full covered face vs. open design?

It won't hurt the Volt, which uses generative braking under most conditions and not the actual brakes.

On the Civic, it will not affect the braking performance for the first stop. How you continue to add heat to the system will determine the answer for all stops after that. It will take a little longer for the heat to bleed off.

You should be fine for most circumstances that a competent, reasonable, driver would encounter. If you ride the brakes downhill or otherwise use them excessively, then you might have issues from the heat buildup.
