My car usually sits for a few weeks and I turn it on from time to time but last week my battery died. I charged it by taking it to your local auto parts store and it was good. I went to put it back in the s2k but nothing, it just cranks. I thought maybe because it's low on gas so I went and put 2 gallons in it but still nothing. It's not my immobilizer since the green key is not flashing. I can hear the fuel pump turn on but faintly. That was my first guess but I read the fuel pumps on these cars rarely go. I don't want to tow it to the mechanics just yet until I eliminate any other possibilities. Has anybody else experienced this before?

It was charged enough to start the car. I even tried jumping it but nothing. I'm thinking a sensor is bad. Does the crank sensor on these cars go bad?
it does if it gets broken...I have never heard of one just going bad...did you happen to do a clutch or starter recently?
I would check to see if you are getting any sparks, check voltage to the injectors, and even check the fuses. There's also the possibly that the crank sensor can cause a no start as well

I can't believe it was the battery. I just changed the battery last year and it was bad. I also saw oil in one if the spark plugs. I just put new seals so it's possible I put them on wrong. Would that cause my car to idle rough and hesitate? It is getting good compression from that cylinder
