RSX Type-S sound system .. POS ?
What's up with the Bose system in the RSX-S ?? It can't even compare with the aftermarket speakers and head unit.
Am I wrong or is Bose just all hyped?
It's 7-piece "BOSE" system sounds WORST then my Alpine CD/Pioneer rear speakers/Infiniti component system.
Damn ACura probably factored in $2g for that system and hide it in the price .

Yep, RSX comes with a piece of **** stock sound system. Weak, NO bass even with the subwoofer, can't play it loud. It's ridiculous, guess we know where entry level luxury ends.
Sounds fine for me. I'll probably upgrade the speakers and get an aftermarket amp, but I'll keep the stock head unit and pull the little subwoofer out. Sound systems are gay. Tooooo heavy.

I just replaced my deck with a JVC Mp3 deck and the differene is unbelievable. I will not be adding any subs or speakers as I orginally thought. The added weight is not necessary because the quality has improved so much.
Do you think adding a better deck will really improve sound quality on the RSX-S, especially low range? Or am I better off adding a better subwoofer?

damn...that does suck ....BOSE systems are usually nice ....the BOSE in my g/f's 3.2 TL sounds aweseom to me.....as did the BOSE system in my ex-g/f's Maxima
I think the system is in desperate need of an amp or the there is way too much obstructing the subwoofer. Just folding the rear seats down increases low range. I wonder how hard it would be to rewire to a new subwoofer? I also removed the foam padding and carpet but the sound didn't seem to improve anymore. Anyone know where I can get a new deck that has a built in CD changer to replace the factory one?
I think that it is Ok for a stock system, but alot of people that are buying RSX's have probably went from aftermarket systems to a stock one that doesnt compare. Personally I had Mb Quartz speakers, JL subs, and PPI amps. I dont care how good any Bose factory car system is, its not gonna compare to my Quartz. So thats why I think alot of people dont like it. I know the RSX stock speakers sound better than my GSR's stock speakers though.
? i thought BOSE was good.
was i misinformed?

bose isn't that bad, but for the money i would consider getting something else
my mom's TL has the bose system and it actually sounds pretty nice
it came with the car, so it's all good
Yea, when I was going to get an S, the salesman was soo worked up over the soundsystem, dumbass. He was all impressed with the sub in the spare tire in the trunk. POS, I turned that **** up and it BLOWED ***...
