Negligence... Anyone else?
Well,
My wife and I recently got a new addition of a 2014 RDX Tech to the Acura family. But buying it made me realize that I think I am reaching a point in my life with my beloved R. I can't honestly tell you the last time I drove it, probably November... I am currently 26, have had mine for 7 years and would never part with it. Anyone else hit that point where your first car love sits and you go out and buy a new (future) baby hauler?
Talk me out of letting her rot away in the garage forever! Photo motivation...

Well you are in PA so Expo shouldnt be too far away. Depending on her stats, it might be better to let heR rest in the garage while she goes up in value, and pays off a chunk of that childs college fund while you enjoy heR from time to time.
I think 234 saw ~500miles from '07 to '13. But my 4 yr old wants to go everywhere in "the yellow" so took out the passenger seat. So now it's a baby hauler / grocery getter and the '00 CRV just sits - haha

shi - who's "forced" to drive 234 :p

^^^haha, that's awesome
OP: Do you see an issue with just storing the car and not really driving it? Is it a financial burden? Space burden? If no to those questions then just keep it. I wouldn't daily mine(not even close to stock) at all and I don't think I'd daily a stock one either. I'm 37 and had it over 10 years. It sees maybe a couple hundred kilometers a year. I've moved onto other cars for dailying and also looking at other "toys" that are far from what the ITR offers. Even so, I wouldn't consider selling it for sentimental reasons alone. Way too much money and time has gone into it and I've met so many great people because of it I'd almost feel like a traitor selling it. LOL! Besides, there isn't a car available today that even comes close to the ITR in terms of what it offers for the price.

I probably put about 250 miles on it a year. She sits all year and gets warmed up once in a while and cruise around town. I will not sell her... at least for a long time until my kids can work on and enjoy it with me! I just feel bad for not letting it live up to it's potential!
It's just a car, drive it like it was designed to be driven. What's the point if you don't? They are not extremely rare. Same goes for guys that buy a brand new Ferrari only to let it sit in a garage and sell it 3k miles later.
i too fall into this category, i recently bought a S2000 to drive while the R is rebuilt but unfortunately haven't had the funds to do so. I still get a drive in about once a month or so, and for that about 10 minutes its the greatest feeling.
While i have a daily driver and a baby hauler now, I still drive the R at least once a week (when it has a motor in it). I make the effort to at least get it out of the garage for a quick little 20 minute to pick up something from Walgreens or pick up breakfast tacos on the weekend.
or flowers on valentines day

It is just so fun to drive compared to the other cars i have.
