Im doing talks with a coilover company (remaining nameless until I get confirmation) to make an affordable CRV coilover.
Yonaka's are way too pricey for what you get IMO.
So this company is bringing in a CRV for fitment and will get back to me.
Im assuming the price point will be around $700 and spring rate will be 12k fr/8k rr.
If they have enough interest then they will make a limited run of these.
Whoever might be interested in a set, post up comments, interest, specs, whatever.

As long as it affordable for me, I would get a set.
I need new suspension and have been reading some coilover builds, but I would rather get a set that is designed and purpose built for a crv by a company that will stand by its product.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I'd be in if I wasn't pinching penny's on the salary of 2 aircraft mechanics. Yes, I have 2 identical jobs with 2 identical companies and still barely pay my bills.

TBD
They do have some with dampening abilities, if they decide to use them for this project remains to be seen.

We are still working on getting this project going. We have a few ideas and trying to see what we can make work better for this car.
I will keep you updated as we keep moving froward with this project.

We will continue to work on these and figure out what would be the best solution for the mounts. Do most of the CRV owners want to go super low?
For the pricing I would not know until we figure out what parts are needed.

I'd say this forum is split pretty evenly between lifting and lowering. Probably won't be able to accommodate every here.
Personally, I'd get a full lifted coilover setup, if it was available. Price pending, of course. This way I'd be able to get rid of extra spacers and overextended shocks.

Why not just spend the few extra bucks for K-Sports or something along those lines? Not much more money and are already proven to work slammed and lifted. I think in this instance the company's reputation would need to be known before anyone gets too excited. Seeing as other options work for cheaper.
if the price is right as you mention- affordable, then i am down!
my preference- on the floor- LOWER IS BETTER!
just note- if the price is set relatively close to a reputable coilover system that already exists on the market, then i probably would not be interested in this particular setup and just get something i know is worth buying that is versatile to my liking.
otherwise, i would definitely consider this coilover system.
regardless, good luck with the plans and production...

Ability to go low and higher than stock would be a decision maker for me.. down low when I'm around town, raise it up and swap to 31" to go up the mountain for camping and fishing
That is A LOT of travel. You will not be able to find an affordable CO setup like this.
4"+ of travel (if that's even possible) will most likely require an external oil reservoir - that puts you in $1k+ category for sure.
