Anyone run stock prelude wheels & tires ever?
pretty sure they're 205/55 R16, anyone run these on a stock R suspension? Any rubbing? It's a little bigger overall diameter, but i can get some very reasonably for winter tires. Thanks!
I'm talking 98+ prelude 16s, the five-spoke slant ones. I know the wheels work, just wanna make sure the tires are cool...i understand they're larger than stock diameter, just wanna make sure i won't rub anything too hard

I remember someone had them on and they didn't look good at all

stock tires (if you mean the actual tire it came from the factory with) SUCK. Bridgestone Potenza RE92's are the worst tire ever made. But I'm just assuming (and hoping) you meant the size.
Ha, the RE92s are GODLIKE compared to the POFS Michelin XGTs that come standard on the GSR!
The RE92s are not horribly bad as an all-season tire...still, was dumb for Honda to put them on a sport coupe like the Lude.

Im looking for a winter setup as well, Im thinking about 16" rota slipstreams. When I bought the R I still had my 97 Prelude, and I never thought that about keeping the stock prelude wheels. I sold it with 17's and gave the guy my stockers. Anyway Ive heard they weigh a lot more than stock wheel and tires, but steelies probably do to.

Stock 97+ Prelude tires are 205/50-16. They will probably fit but they are too tall..speedo will read slow 2.7%.

Ihad 98 base model Prelude wheels on my car for a while (Because I bent my Volks). With the original tires. The car rode fine and handled okay. I was lowered 2 inchs so I had a few minor rubbing issues but for the most part no a problem. You'll be fine.
yea, i had em for awhile (winglessR) 16", heavy, lowered my gas mileage too, but at least I could treat them bad, curbage, etc. Don't have the pics handy...

And yeah, i'm cornering the market on 5x114.3 wheels, D will probably steal my trip back to O-town from his winter break, give his Azenis some mileage relief.
