Default radio button illumination not working

radio screen is fine, illuminates/dims, etc. the buttons, however, do not light whatsoever. '07 Si sedan with almost 140k.

despite the fact that the other dash lights work fine, i checked the fuse in position 14 - was obv fine. pulled radio fuse to reset radio, no change.

i assume it's an LED within the radio itself. while searching on the web about this, i saw some videos from five years ago from a dude who changed the color of those lights from red to whitish blue. but other than that, nothing about the actual process or service of that light.

anyone know for sure what is involved in fixing that bulb?

thanks.
