Default F22 V-Tec Misfire 9/93 Accord

Hello, I have just restarted the repair process on My Sons 9/93 Accord.
The problem is when the engine is cold, it runs fine (slight miss)
As it warms up, Number 2 cylinder drops compression which results in the misfire at IDLE. When I rev it up past 1000 rpms, it runs smoothly. I pulled the spark plug wire off while reving and I have a noticeable change. At IDLE, i see the spark but no change in idle quality.
Now, I have read about the "oil passage solenoid" valve for the V-Tec function. I cleaned it and replaced the screen and seals with replacements from the dealer.
I cleaned the EGR valve at the same time. This was a WHILE back and I stopped working on it since the problem reappeared.
Also, I have checked the compression on #2 cyl and it is way low as though one of the valves are hung open.
As I have stated, the car runs great off idle. NO CEL either.
Any ideas and or suggestions are GREATLY APPRECIATED.
My son totaled his Integra and I need to get his Accord up and running ASAP due to he just got a new job.
Thank you's to all that may reply.
Blessings

Have you tested compression by adding a few ounces of oil to the cylinder to see if there was a change in compression?

If no change with oil then check the valve/rocker clearance. If it is too tight it may be hanging the valve open.

Ok, now should I check them cold or warm.
I am hoping that it is not a bent valve.
Thank you for the rapid reply!

Good Morning Mad Mike.
I checked the lash and found that the intakes were spot on.
The exhaust were actually too loose. So I set them, restarted the car and it still had the miss which was actually a little worse. But over all i could tell that if the miss was not there, it would actually run very nice. Like i mentioned, off idle revved to about 1100 rpms, the car actually runs smooths. I believe I am going to have to pull the head off.
My only concern is that I saw some posts about the V-Tec function can be malfunctioning locking the "extra" rocker arm allowing the compression to be lost.

@holmesnmanny, it is a 9/93. The installation looks original.
I would attach pictures if I knew how. Even the valve cover has V-TEC stamped on it.
Stamped on the Block it states F22

Thank you for the replies and assistance.
Blessings
