Default Engine Swap

Hello to all.
I have a question.
How feasible is it to swap a 1997 Integra engine and trans into a 1993 Accord?
Is it basic?
My son owns both cars. Accord has the miss after warm issue. He totaled the Integra. Should I do the head job or is the swap an upgrade?
Integra ran very good.
Thank your in advance.
Blessings

Putting the smaller Integra engine is not the best route.
Sell the Integra/part it out. Look into what the miss is on the Accord. If you want to do an engine swap, a more appropriate engine would be the Prelude H22 engine/transmission.

Agreed, normally them acura parts are pretty sought after. The miss on the accord might be something simple.

THANK YOU!!!! I thought the engine in the Intergra was better. It is for sell!
LOL
I will look into the number 2 cylinder "dying" after engine is warm.
I have rebuilt the VTEC valve. I will look into the sticking rod thingy on the rockers I have read about.

hmmmm vtec valve? have you checked compression, spark plug gap, spark? 90-93 accords do not have vtec solenoids unless it has been swapped. this integra you speak of, is it gsr , type r? like said its is highly sought after in the civic world.

I checked compression cold was about 100-110 I think (it has been awhile)
I let it run until this miss came. Checked Compression and it was about 25 -35 I think.
The car is a 9/93 Accord.
I have swapped injectors, changed wires etc.
My next move was to have the head rebuilt for fear of a bent valve sticking open when warm.
I only know the Integra is a 2 door. It is my youngest sons car.
Ran very well.

compression on f motors should run about 175 psi. that seems to be your problem. if you could leakdown test that cylinder that would definitely give you a better idea of where you are losing compression.

Thank you.
I believe the exhaust valve is hanging open. I may go rent the tester today and start the process. Argh. I retired from working on cars other than race cars.
But for my Kids, I have to come out of retirement. LOL
