are you running extra high compression or more than 10 pounds of boost or something? what's the goal of this engine? how high will you be revving? overheating has nothing to do with a block guard. if you fear overheating, get a fluidyne radiator, if not, it'll be fine.

If you don't know the answer to this then you don't even need to be tinkering with 12:1 CR and a motor that revs over 9000rpm!

...And polls suck!

If you are going to be reving an LS to 9000 RPM why wouldn't you put in a block guard...

overheating has nothing to do with a block guard.
doesn`t the water has to pass from the canals were the block guard fits?
i know the block guard has some holes but it won`t compare to a free space don`t ya think???

and please tell me what to do..... don`t hate

Or something???? This is no place to be guessing?

No block guard for N/A Cooling is more important.

**** blockguards, i hate them.. If you wanna have a motors walls be stronger then why not just sleeve it. Golden Eagle and AEBS have some bad *** sleeves but they do cost a bit more.. But yea that's just what i think...

as others say, no block girdle for all motor, 9000 rpm? It is done by many, don't take this the wrong way but you don't sound like you have enough experience to push an ls engine to that. Have you invested in a block girdle? also is the head built? good luck

No block guard or block girdle?

They are two totally different things you know, right?

A block girdle like a Z10 one is not a bad idea, while the block guards suck donkey ***** IMO.

If you're gonna do a block guard you'd better at least have it in BEFORE you bore - if not you might pinch the tops of the cylinder walls and **** up the rings y0!
