So I found some Motegi's on craigslist for a decent price, turned out to be MR206 FF6 16's painted with what appears to be rubberized undercoating and Lime green paint,which I just have to get rid of, having a Bright Red and Metallic Gunmetal color theme



So here is what I have to work with:



I'm fine with keeping them all black, but like the pattern, just with my cars color red (Napa/Autozone 'Performance Red' by the quart) but any reccommendations on types of paint and clear? or if I MUST sand-blast first!

But being new to aftermarket wheels, I'm also unclear what I would need for Tires and the importance of offset


For Tires am I just looking at 205/45 R16? and will the wheels work with what appears to be a 40mm offset from the stock wheels? would I need an adapter or will they not work at all?

But, as for the wheels... yes, they'll fit your car. And, for tires, the 205/45/16's are perfectly fine for your car.

 

I guess I should rephrase, what paint is best for wheels as they have a bit harder life than body panels have, to ensure that they will not peel or flake or anything
