Default Braid Fullrace Maxlight Wheels - 15x8

Hey all,

I posted this in my journal or blog, but figured that those who don't frequent it may still be interested in this.

Yesterday, my custom sized set of Braid wheels arrived... I really couldn't be happier with the quality of these wheels. Everything appears to be top notch, and I really love how the lug mating surfaces are machined down after paint. This mitigates the issue where the lugs start to wear/chip away at the paint where they make contact. Everything mounted up great on my dry fit last night, and I'll be testing all four this evening with tires.

Details:

BRAID Fullrace A Maxlight - 15x8 5x114.3 et38, white

I like them except for the convex faces.

Yea, definitely depends on taste. I wanted something that would hold some of the essence of the standard wheels, but offer the sizing I was looking for.

Plus, I'm not as big a fan of the dish/super concave look.

BRAID FULLRACE MAXLIGHT WHEELS … PART 2

[...]

I brought the wheels and tires to get mounted and balanced today during my lunch.

They look amazing with the tires, super aggressive. Here are some pictures from fitting them on the car. Then I took it for a quick spin to see if there was any rubbing. No rubbing from the drive I took, but I also wasn’t able to get enough corner force on the car to really tell under full compression. The handling of the car feels great, like it’s on rails. I bet I could really take advantage of a stiffer suspension setup…

I apologize for the grainy pictures… But I’m no photographer and it was raining on me
