Code 46 System too lean or too rich (slave)
Hello everyone,
my computer me showed code 46, which means System too lean or too rich (slave). I assume I have problems with fuel system. I found the description of similar code 45, but nowhere I can find 46.
Where should I go first? Checking fuel pump? Do valve clearence? What does it mean ( slave ) ?
I'll be grateful if anyone help me.
Thanks
Tom

being that its a fueling code, it has nothing to do with valve clearance. try cleaning out your fuel lines & injectors using a fuel system cleaner like SEAFOAM. you can also change your fuel filters too. Was there any other specific reading? ex: system to lean/rich bank 1? if it had shown that in a reading, that means your 02 sensor is no good.

What is more, fuel filter and oxygen sensor are brand new. Three months ago I made swap into H22a jdm. I'm not quite sure, but maybe there is a problem with fuel octans. Japans have different than Europeans ( 95 o 98 )
Please correct me if I am wrong.
If you do a search for "honda code 46" and you find nothing anywhere on the internet that pertains to it what do you think that means for code 46 ?
Use the paperclip method to retrieve the code.
Also, it helps people on here to know exactly which kind of car you have.
