Default 1995 EJ1 no electrical power problem

A few weeks ago after work I went to start the car. Opened the ignition switch to position II. CEL went on then off after a bit, normal operation of all lights. Heavy rain so I turned the wipers on one click and went to crank the car Switch position III. Sudden click and all power gone from the dash regardless of switch position. The beeping when the key is in is sometimes faint or completely gone. The dome light sometimes comes on and sometimes doesn't. It happened completely out of nowhere. Already tested the ignition switch and it is completely functional. I even used a known good one and it still happens.
Does anyone have any clues or suggestions?
All fuses checked out fine, Cleaned and lightly sanded G101 ground by the thermostat. Battery has been tested and is at 12.6V and 96% charge.
When switch is in position II the power is very dim like a loose ground, and then sometimes powers up fine, but when I go to crank, starter clicks and all power is gone.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Also clean and tighten the G1 battery ground that bolts to the chassis near the battery.

Battery terminals are on tight and clean yes. I even removed and cleaned them.

I will try inspecting and cleaning that ground tonight. Any other grounds that could cause intermittent power to the ignition switch/dome light?

I was looking through wiring diagrams and didn't see any sort of relay or anything i could also inspect. Did I miss something or are there only those fuses?

Start with the G1 battery ground connection and go from there. Clean it with a wire brush.

Sorry about the late reply, got caught up with work and school.

So I cleaned both battery terminals and posts. Also cleaned the battery ground cable and the connecting points. I also cleaned the transmission ground cable.
I put the key in position II and everything got power. As soon as I move it to position III to crank the starter, the starter clicks and everything dies again. I return to position II and the dash has dimly lit indicators and the main relay is clicking.
Any ideas?
