obd2 car with obd1 longblock questions
Im working on this 1996 honda civic ex with a blown d16y8. The kid that owns the car bought a d15b7 to put in its place. This is a retarded swap to do

(yes i know), but im only doing this for the guy.
Im running the obd2 harness, computer, intake manifold, distributor, injectors, alternator, crank position sensor (swapped over oil pump, crank gear etc) on the d15b7 long block. i have spark and fuel but it seems like im getting spark at the wrong time. My question is: is there any chance to get my obd2 distributor to work on an obd1 d15b7 head? or has anyone else been stupid enough to do this?

so basically your trying to use the obd1 intake? use the y8 intake on the d15 and change over all the other sensors from the y8 onto the b7 and use the original obd2 harness
cant say for certain if the y8 dizzy will work though. have you tried turning it left and right while someone else spins it over?
