Alright, I have a D16Z6 that has the bolt holes where the distributor is suppose to screw into stripped. I drilled them out but tapping to a larger bolt size will not allow me to fit the new bolts through the slots on my distributor. Also there is barely any room if at all to even get the tap handle to rotate, any tips or ideas would be great. I just want to get my distributor back on flush with no leaks but I still need the range of motion so I can set the timing of course.

Heli coil or threadsert.

 

Just re-tap and use a dremel to open the slots in the dizzy for the bigger bolt to slide thru.

 

if you drilled it out, then you have to drill out the slots on the dizzy bigger.

 

This is your best option and it lets you stick to stock bolt sizes.
