02 Accord radio/CD problem
Hi All,
I have a 2002 Accord V6 sedan. I'm comfortable doing basic repairs (oil, change wheel hubs, brakes, headlights, etc). Over the past year, she has been developing a problem with the CD player/Radio.
When using in CD mode, if I hit a bump in the road (sometimes just a light bump, sometimes it takes a heavy bump), it will automatically change to disc 3, and won't let me change back, or change tracks on that CD. This is occasionally remedied by hitting the dashboard panel to the right of the player.
When using in tape mode (read: MP3 - Cassette device), it will start rewinding the tape, interrupting playback.
It usually happens most when cold outside (temp below 40), and happens less frequently as the car warms up. Doesn't happen often in warmer climates.
Could this be something as simple as a loose wire, where I need to pull out the player and reconnect everything, or is it something worse like the player dying?
