performance for a 91 accord lx
what else can be done to a 91' accord lx? i've got cold air intake, 4-2-1 header and hi-flo exhaust, what's next? can't find an ecu and can't afford a turbo.
aftermarket ignition systems like MSD or Jacob's and do a search on google for the TB. they're out there but hard to find. i don't know where exactly you can find them. there's a lot of work left to do to your engine but now it's getting to the point where you have to start getting on the INSIDE of your motor. look for an intake manifold too. and cam gear. and JET ECU offers a chip for your car

Well I have done a whole hell of a lot to my old '90... I suggest an overbored throttle body to go with your current mods. I had mine machined my JG Engine Dynamics for $175. Very nice work. On Saturday I replaced the Intake Manifold with a '92 EX (140hp F22A6 engine) one so I now have the dual intake runner system, good for an extra 10hp. If you have a 5-Speed, get a lightened flywheel! Big difference!! You can remove your power steering for a little extra hp and throttle response... uhhh, high-flow cat, ignition... etc...

What would you put the settings for a cam gear at on an SOHC? my friend has 91 dx and it's pretty quick... can keep up with my teg (kinda). he's look for some more performance but has to keep it stealthy. He's got an intake... cam gear you say?
if you are looking for a budget ignition for your stock motor- just remove the internal coil, cap and rotor. get a cap+rotor for a 93' with external coil and hook up a msd blaster coil. it has worked awesome-spark plugs used to come out with black buildup--now they are light grey, perfect.
Cam adjustment gear without getting on the dyno is about the worst investment you could make.
not to mention there have been a TON of people who've found the best setting was:
stock.
