Did you recently bleed your system? In what order?
If so, did you floor the pedal? When flooring the pedal on an old MC there is a section of the bore that is not normally traveled. It can become rough from corrosion and buildup of sediment. When the seals travel over this rough portion it can tear the piston seals. Combined with changing the fluid to a new/different fluid, this can cause the old seals to swell weakening or softening them, and with new fluid there is now more pressure possible to be built in the system with the new fluid.
These three factors can contribute to a failing seal.
