What causes bad gas mileage?
My car all of a sudden is now getting bad gas mileage. Everything is running fine except maybe a bit of a decline in torque at high rpms. i went to the acura dealer they said that california puts more oxygen in the gas for winter reducing combustionability. Is that right? or is there something else that might be causing this?

- O2 sensor
- Air filter
- Fuel filter
- Spark plugs & wires
- Distributor cap & rotor
- Cat converter
- PCV valve
- Cooling system
- tire pressures
I think I missed some. But all of the above contribute to fuel economy.

Edit: he beat me to it.
tire pressure can also affect ur MPG. Make sure ur tires are inflated properly at the right presure.
also a tune up can also help....depending on how many mile you have...
