Default Parking Brake/Headlight Confusion!?

I installed a new DVD in dash screen last night and I noticed something strange, I am not sure if it is related since I was working with the wiring but my headlights seem to stay on unless the parking brake is pulled up.

Is this a daytime running lights feature or was it wired by the previous owner to do this and/or could some electircal issue cause this?

I am also noticing the parking brake indicator light on the dash stays illuminated regardless of the position of the parking brake lever.

I didn't know or think a 90 CRX Si would have a DRL feature, please let me know if anyone experienced anything like this...

Default Re: Parking Brake/Headlight Confusion!?

I've got a pioneer with DVD. By law it has to be on the parking brake to function. It has to get a ground signal from the parking brake. I installed mine not via the switch (please don't tell on me ;-)) but a normal ground point. Never had an issue.

What I'm trying to say, did you mixed up some wires? There is also a wire for illumination. When you turn on your lights it will dim the display. I've had some customers who thought it was ground. But when they switched on the light a fuse busted. In one case it started a fire...

Please check your wiring
