Tire Selection This Weekend....
Since the forecasts call for temps in the upper 30's @ Summit Point this weekend.... I was going to mount up a set of Toyo Proxes i just picked up (worn, shaved initially and about 3/32nd tread left) on an old set of OE alloys but i'm wondering if i might be better off just staying with Falken Azenis?
I do have a set of Kuhmo Ecsta V700's at my disposal as well, 225/45/15 on OE alloys about 1/3 worn from full tread depth but i'd prefer not to use these.

Yikes... these are the RA-1's right... i was hoping that since i'd be on track i wouldnt have too much of a problem getting them up to temp? Or should i bring along the 225/45 kuhmos...
I'd be nervous about running the Proxes... I've got them on my street car and they're hell in cold weather rain.
I'm sure the azenis will work just fine, but was just looking to move toward r-tires on track.

I'll vouch for Azenis on the track in upper-40 degree weather, mine worked very well.
