Default Hermonic Balancer Wobbling

I am traversing on new territory (meaning I have not done this repair before). My problem is with my 1996 Honda Odyssey LX hermonic balancer (or crankshaft pulley). I first noticed a grinding noise and than I discovered that my hermonic balancer was wobbling slightly and I knew that it shouldn't be doing that. I took it to my mechanic for a free inspection and he tells me that my hermonic balancer is bad and needs to be replaced. He also says that there could be other damage, but he would not know until he got the hermonic balancer off.

I have studied hermonic balancer and the problems that can arise as a result...they get cracked or somehow, they are improperly installed. However, I am confused at to what the issue might be, because I pulled it off easily and I see no issues. I can't understand what could be causing the hermonic balancer to be wobbling like it was. In addition, I don't know what other damage could be done (while observing behind the hermonic balancer). Okay, obviously there is something wrong, because of the wobbling and grinding noise. But looking at the hermonic balancer...I am baffled. I am also baffled at observing what other damage there could be on the crankshaft end or anything else for that matter.

Am I safe just to install a new hermonic balancer and be done with it? And put it all back together. I just want to be sure, because removing everything has been quite the chore and I don't want to find myself here again, because I overlooked something. I am including pictures so you can observe.

Lastly, I cannot remove the tensioner for the life of me. I am assuming it is loosened by turning counter-clockwise (left losey).
