Default 4 wire o2 sensor wiring

I've done my research and keep coming up with conflicting information. Please clarify. The images I am using are not my own, but harvested from online.

Image 1 shows the engine harness o2 connector.
green/white = ground
white = signal
orng/blk = heater
yell/blk = 12v

Image 2 depicts the wire side or back of the o2 sensor connector. This image does not coincide with the above image.

I am inclined to go with the first image. I am using a Rywire engine harness. And wiring a Denso o2 sensor.

I don't see a question.

Those are the same. Rotate that plug 90 degrees so the clip is on top and they appear to be the exact same from the same side.

I beg to differ.

When joining these two clips, the drawn clip would be rotated 180 degrees, where as the clip in the photo would be rotated to the right 90 degrees.

See what I mean?

Image 1 is of the engine harness.
Image 2 (drawn) is the O2 sensor.

When you rotate the drawn image 90 degrees CCW (to the left) so that the clips engage, then each wire matches up correctly when you plug them together.

I see nothing wrong here.

I know exactly what you mean. I went through the same thing in fact when I was doing my distributor wiring. However, I ended up overthinking it entirely. I think you are over thinking it. I would just take the denso pin out/color sheet and make sure when it goes through the plug, it matches up to the same wires on the rywire harness.

When I did my wiring, I ignored colors and just made sure it all went to the right pin. I used junkyard connectors and ignored their original purpose.

That's just it, the drawn image would have to be rotated Clock Wise to the right 90 degrees in order to engage clips.

When I wire up my o2 sensor I'm just going to mirror the engine harness pictured.

Yes. mirror the harness picture and it will be wired just like the drawn image.
