When the gas pedal is slightlypressed in any gear First being the worst, my rex starts bucking like a bronco. It stops when clutch is down or more gas is given. Throttle cable is good, throttle body is good, TPS is good and adjusted. Today i drove it for at lleast 10 miles without this happening. Shut off the car. About 15 minutes later started it up and it started acting up.

 

if its sohc its mean the timing belt or water pump are wokring to hard

if for this. my mini-me does the same thing, but only sometimes when it's warmed up.

 

When my dizzy was going out it would do that sometimes. It would loose power then shoot back up. Borrow someone's and see of that fixes it. Another thing it could be is your ecu is going out. Had that happen to me also. Got to the point where it would make my fuel pump act wonky until it finally just stopped working all together. Do u know if it's only related to your 1st gear tho?
