88 wago van tranny question

Default 88 wago van tranny question

I'm picking up a wago van and I was wondering if any d series cable tranny would bolt into this car guy has a a6 with crx si tranny that goes with it and idk if u have to have a 4 wheel drive tranny or jst any cable tranny and will any stock Ef d series mounts work thank u

If it is front wheel drive (FWD) then you can use any D-series transmission. Even a hydro, although the hydro will require a kit to convert from cable to hydro. But if it is four wheel drive (4WD) then it can still use a FWD transmission I believe. You just won't be using the rear transfer case or the driveshaft at all. If it was the RT4WD wagon, you would know. They are popular and often advertised.

It used to b awd but now jst a shell thanx for the info I'm jst making sure any d series will work in her jst to make it fwd and move without having to rig something up

Its also possible to go awd with b series with the crv trans. If you search there is a whole thread about it.

She will sit right in there

I'm pretty sure the mounts will line up too.
