2000 Preulude h22a4 cranks n wont start
Okay so the other day I went to go start my prelude up, started up rough idled for 2 seconds and died out, ran fine up till then. I'm getting spark, getting plunty of fuel pressure..I did all the normal things you would do, checked each plug for spark, checked the fuel pisser on the rail for pressure. even tried squirting some gas in the throttle body and cranking it, nothing. and the 2nd n 3rd plug were wet with gas. so as of right now I got the plugs sitting out so everything can air out and I'm gonna try to throw them back in, in the AM and spray a lil bit of starting fluid in there n give it a crank. I've just bought the car two weeks ago and I have not had a single problem with it till the other day. I got two days to get this car off the property its at or Imma lose the car. need help ASAP fellas. buddy of mine said it's not sparking at the right time so get a new dizzy. someone else mentioned it could be the crank sensor? only thing I have not been able to do yet is a compression test. so any and all suggestions would be great, and its not a swap its all stock. and its not throwing no codes, no CEL. when I first bought the car I was getting Cylinder 1 misfire and I replaced the plugs and the CEL went off.
fuel, spark, air, and compression- it has to be one of these.
so it tries to start and cranks the starter no problem?
Theres nothing clogging the intake?
You hear the fuel pump purge?
The Fast Idle Thermo Valve helps with cold starts.
Bad Idle air control valve? need to be cleaned.
Is the Throttle positioning sensor plugged in and calibrated?
Maybe the distributor has gone bad?
Bad alternator, dead battery?
Loose grounds or connections?
Bad vacuum leak?
just the ones off the top of my head. GL
