Default Seized Coilover Ring

It's just this one Coilover with the lower ring stuck. I tried soaking it with WD40, PB Blaster, heating it with heat gun, into hitting it a bit hard. Today, I tried it with Pipe Vice Grip, but no luck.

I'm doing more search and the only thing I haven't tried is the Freezing Spray method.. or else, I'm going to end up getting it cut.

Any ideas or experienced with this problem? I don't want to give up on this. lol

Try heating it again and using a good thick metal flathead screwdriver and a metal hammer to turn the ring.

Ok I will try heating it again, and do that, and maybe use the pipe vice grip too.

I also did that and as you can see in the first picture, they are a little apart. But I will raise it even more so I can grip the lower one more.

Also note that I have a pair of coilover wrench for this so I can try and turn the ring by itself, which is not working.

Ok, sorry for double post but I just did them all but no luck..

Do you guys think it's a good idea to cut the ring to loosen it up?

dremel tool, wire wheel.. try and clean up the threads ??

I'm taking a shot in the dark but I would try this before cutting it ... how long has the pb blaster been sitting on it ? maybe give it another soak when the upper ring has given it some more space?

pour on some ATF trans fluid on it let it soak, pour a little more and just keep tapping the ring on the keys (loosen and tighten) it will break free.

So I just tried it again today since snow came down again.

I bought a Rust-off Freeze spray and an advance WD40 specially for rust. I soaked it with both spray every 10 minutes taking turns and then put on the pipe vice grip and while it's gripped tightly, I hit it with a hammer, from tapping into hard hammering, but it doesn't move a bit.

Might want to just pull the whole assembly from the car so you have space to work on it as well.

I would say to soak in either PB Blaster, Wurth Rost-Off Ice, or the BG brand spray, overnight and give it a shot. If you have access to air tools, maybe get an air hammer onto an exposed tooth and see if it will budge.

If these don't work, may just have to look into getting some replacement parts.

Well thanks for trying to help me guys. I tried almost everything but it didn't move at all.

So... it ended up with my last resort.. to get it cut.

For those who might have the same problem as mine and it won't move at all; I got mine cut but not removed. The cut is for the ring to loosen up and with a little hammering right after. You will still be able to lock it as mine did. (if you don't mind your coilover ring looking ugly.)
