last Wednesday I noticed a strange sound coming from either the front driver side or somewhere in the back of my EJ8.
It's hard to describe what it sounds like exactly but it just sounds like it's something rolling around. I've gotten underneath the front and back and I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Freaks me something fierce though.
It happens specifically when I accelerate out of a turn. I do not push it through turns.
I have no CEL'S and my MIL is off. I don't feel anything in my steering or hear anything else.
I plan on replacing all the suspension components and steering and suspension bushings , rear trailing arms and camber arms, New tires and rims later this week followed by alignment in the front and back next week.

Any idea what this could be?

 

rollng sound? like a moving sound? could be bad bushings since you state when turning. could be dry rotted and cause excessive noise. my bmw 740 did that.

 

Yah I was thinking it might be bushing related. the bushings are pretty rough which Is why Im changing them all out.


It does kind of sound like it's moving although that could also be because I am turning when it is audible. I wish I could describe it better. If it a bushing then Im set then considering I was already going to be replacing them all later this week.
