Default Misfire under acceleration

Hello all! I am new to this site. Actually, I am new to Honda. This 1992 Honda Accord is my first ever Honda! Well I have a little problem. It has a slight misfire when I am accelerating. It idles fine, and just driving along it is fine too. Since I just got the car a few weeks ago, I didn't know when the last tune up was. So I changed the spark plugs and wires, hoping that was the cause. Didn't change a thing. So now I am thinking it is the fuel filter. Because I think it started doing it about a day after I ran out of gas. (I know...running out of gas is horrible for a car, but it doesn't happen very often) So I think it picked some junk up from the bottom of the tank. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Why not replace the cap and rotor?

Does this seem to happen only once the engine is at op temp and under light load?

was there oil on the plug wires? i chased a misfire FOREVER until i realized the oil leaking onto the boots caused it. would usually idle ok, and wouldnt misfire unless you were a little hard on it
