there is no best place.
You gonna get rip off and scam at local seller, pirvate party, on the internet and even some scambag dealership.
be smart and ask questions and let keep us informed, since alot of guy here know
accord inside out.

Buy only from the first owner.
Buy the best used car you can buy.
Buy it only with maint. records.
Buy from older people.
Don't buy a salvage title car thinking you'll save money cause you won't in the long run.

look in the big newspapers...sometimes there are sellers who don't know what their used car should be priced at....and mis-price their cars. How do I know this?

I figured those would be some of the answers I would get. The deal is im 21 and i have a little brother that just got his license so my parents are willing to get another car for the family. So they were nice enought to decide that I could get a new one and my bro could have the older one. Now my dad has a guy that gets in a lot of cars and this is actually where we got the one I have now. So my parents are going to look at one for me this week that is a 98' with apparently 27k. Thats sounds all and good but I dont know about other people but I dont really like that gen. that much the 98's-02's I think they look like old people cars a little too much. Ideally I want a 97' with low miles, EX, 5-Speed, VTEC. Who knows.... that would be really cool if people could give me advice, ill try to keep updating when I hear from the fam. Thanks everyone

I always go for OBDI (or no OBD ) and cheap.

then again im cheap in general and a good mechanic.. well i think so anyway.

autotrader is typically where i find cars or in the local paper.. cars.com has good listing summarys.

Generally, OBD I cars (what Gimpy was talking bout') will make more power for a given mod.

On Accords, this will be up to 95 and maybe some early 96's (check VIN #). After 95, most cars were OBDII (integras were solid OBDI thru 96 i believe).

If your wondering how OBD works, I'm sure a search in Tech archives would turn up plenty...
