What makes GReddy Turbos Legal Vs Rev Hard and Drag3
I was wondering about the legality of Turbos. Passing Inspection with a turbo hard? What is it that makes GReddy turbos street legal and other illegal?
I am in NC where laws are not quite as strict as Cali. We do have emission testing. Should I worry?
Thanks for your help guys

if your not from CA then there really no need to worry about inspections too much. The LEGALITY of the drag vs greddy etc is that greddy has its carb exception. downpipe wg are all routed to stock locations and not ot the atmosphere.
So I guess I can get any kit I want and not worry about legality of it. Man if all of the above is true that sucks for the people in Cali
I want the Drag3 or Rev hard turbo kits
Much more power than Greddy and much cheaper

It's all good if you find a place that doesn't care about the visual inspection. Or, just save your stock stuff and swap it back on every 2 years.

i get the best of both worlds:
i live in iowa...........vehicle inspections when pigs fly lol
i'm an air force depper........once i get stationed somewhere, i can keep my iowa registration as long as i want, no matter where i live. so even if they stuff me in california, i'm allowed to keep my iowa registration/title/plates........meaning no inspections necessary.

damn, i need one of those for my inlinepro setup. But yea, wether your in CA or not, emissions is emissions. Ok, and if someone could make these, how much and where are they to be placed.

Anyone from NC with a Turbo vouch from experiance?

Ignorant personal opinion. For some it offers a completely reliable cost efficient solution. For others with deep pockets, it's just not enough.

do i have one of those carb stickers in my kit somewhere? didnt see it
greddy is a great kit!
what makes it carb legal on the base kit is..N O BOV(which would vent to atmoshpere which is techincally illegal for road use) adn my guess is the whole fuel computer thing. (even though it probably runs way richer than anything else you could set yourself up with
)thats about it.

Actually, I take that back. Before, I believe Greddy used to just include the sticker in the package. Now, you'll need to go to your Local shop Greddy distributer or fax Greddy your original reciept (again, it has to have a Greddy distributer shop name on the receipt) to them so they can mail you the original CARB sticker.
I might be wrong.
